Membership at The Crossing Church

2024 Membership renewal is open!

As a church, we begin every new year by taking some time to refocus on what it means to be a member of The Crossing Church. In this season, each member is invited to renew your commitment to Gather (Heb. 10:24-25), Go (Matt. 28:18-20), Grow (Eph. 4:15), and Give (2 Cor. 9:6-8).

The goal of membership renewal is to help us have a plan and be intentional in living out the lives that God has called us to live -- nothing more, nothing less (1 Cor. 7:17). As the saying goes, if you fail to plan, you plan to fail. Without a plan, we naturally drift away from Jesus. Therefore membership renewal matters because it gives us a yearly plan to help us daily take up our cross and follow Jesus in his mission (Luke 9:23).

If you are not yet a member, we are making plans for our next Basics class for 2024 and can let you know as soon as we have those details sorted out! Registration may be found at crossingparagould.com/register when it’s available.

Upcoming Basics Class Date: TBD

At our quarterly basics class, you will learn from pastors of the church about our vision for this church in Paragould, AR. You will hear about how we began, why we began, and what we envision discipleship to Jesus looks like. You won’t be strong-armed into something you don’t want to sign-up for, but in order to become a member of The Crossing Church, you need to have taken Basics and fill out a membership form.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A MEMBER OF THE CROSSING CHURCH?

Our vision as a church is that we exist to see God's kingdom come and his will be done in Northeast Arkansas as it is in heaven. To that end, our mission is to build resilient disciples of Jesus, who not only survive but thrive in the harsh conditions of life and bear the fruit of God’s kingdom in the world.

TO BE A MEMBER OF THE CROSSING CHURCH IS TO COMMIT TO THE VISION AND MISSION.

On a practical level, a member of The Crossing is committed to four goals:

  1. Gather - we gather on Sunday for corporate worship, but we also highly value gathering weekly in Missional Communities for family meal and connection.

  2. Grow - we believe disciples take responsibility for their own growth, but are also committed to growing together with their church family. One of the practical ways we grow is through a DNA group

  3. Go - we are called by Jesus to go and make disciples and teaching them all that he commanded. He never sent someone out alone to do this, but rather sent them out in pairs or groups.

  4. Give - we are blessed by God in order to be a blessing to others. In our time, talents, and treasures, we are called to steward the resources God has given us for his glory and the good of our community.
